April 22nd, 2017 will be a fun filled day! Come along with us as we hop from location to location in Central Harlem visiting a variety of Earth Day Parties! Party starts at Frederick Douglass between 133rd and 134th!
Each Harlem based business is hosting an ethical, fair trade, conscious business to help educate the community on the importance of taking care of our planet.
Next, make your way next door to Calabar Imports who will be hosting US, the NYC Fair Trade Coalition. Shop fair trade products from our members.
We're hoping for a bright and beautiful day as we make our way down 134th st towards Lenox to Harlem Grown who will have a day full of family friendly events including our friend Faye from the Ethical Writers Coalition and Sustaining Life. She'll be teaching us how to dye using spices, fruits, and veggies found in our kitchens! Harlem Grown will also be giving tours of their surrounding gardens!
The party does not stop at we cap off the day and take it into the night with a HARLEM EARTH DAY AFTER PARTY! Esa will be hosted by La Maison d'Art on 132nd st. as they teach us how to weave using second hand clothing! Party starts at 5pm. Snacks and more included. Get your tickets here.
Can't make it the whole day? No worries! Jump in anytime. We'll have a map shortly to show you the locations.
